Sheet Metal Inc. is a premier Alaskan sheet metal contractor founded in 1972 by Howard Letts. Over the course of fifty years, SMI has become a landmark name in the industry and known as one of Alaska's premier sheet metal contractors. Howard's grandson and current owner, Jim Letts, assumed the company's operation in 2008 and acquired H&K Sheet Metal Fabricators in its entirety in 2018. This acquisition, along with hard work, determination, and vision has propelled SMI to be one of Alaska's largest and most successful full-service, in-house, design-build mechanical contractors. We're more than just Alaska's premiere fabrication facility. We provide design, fabrication, and full mechanical installation services. Our mission is to provide professional, reliable, and responsive commercial HVAC, sheet metal and plumbing services to the markets we serve. Our goal is to meet every schedule and budget, while ensuring our clients receive the highest quality craftsmanship and end-products possible.
