He began his business on Chestnut Street in Colonie, New York, representing Marley Cooling Towers and Anemostat Products. In 1959, Donald Ferguson Sr. joined the company as a sales engineer. Under his leadership, the company expanded its representation to include IAC, Twin-City Fans, and Loren Cook Co., supplying fans, registers, grilles, diffusers, and VAV boxes for notable projects like the Empire State Plaza. In 1970, Donald Ferguson Sr. purchased the company from Foote and moved it to a larger building. He continued to expand the company's offerings and representation, with his son, Donald Ferguson Jr., joining the business in 1987. Donald Ferguson Jr. took over ownership in 1992 and led the company through its largest expansion to date. He focused on representing quality-oriented manufacturers with a strong industry presence, building upon the Marley line and adding Armstrong Pumps, Griswold Filtration, and others.
