Superior Plumbing and Heating (SPH) is the lead company of The Superior Group family of companies as well as a leading commercial mechanical contractor located in Anchorage, Alaska since 1964. SPH builds projects for private clients and Municipal, State and Federal agencies. We have built single projects with mechanical scopes that exceeded $30 million as well as several projects where scopes have exceeded $10 million. SPH builds medical offices, hospitals, office buildings, schools, hotels, and has successfully built unique one-of-a-kind projects like the Goose Creek Correctional Center, Alaska Sealife Center and Anchorage Fish Hatchery. We build power plants and facilities which include schools and fish processing plants in remote villages. Our fabrication shop boasts superior capabilities with state of the art technology and cutting edge production techniques. SPH is employee-owned and currently employs approximately 100 people. We are union affiliated with Local 367 Plumbers and Pipefitters and have a strong working relationship with the union. Our sister companies employ another 50-60 people and together we provide turn-key mechanical services to our clients.
