Established in 1969, the AMCA was founded to promote the mechanical contracting industry in Alaska. Membership is open to any plumbing and/or sheet metal contractor who is signatory to either or both of the unions (local or national agreements). Annual dues are $500.00, and Anchorage association members automatically become members of the State association. The AMCA also offers membership in national organizations such as SMACNA or MCAA.
